Didyabringyarodalong Angling Club of Melton and Bacchus Marsh has been going since 1986. We are a family orientated fishing club with many families and individuals who love fishing, getting outdoors and being a part of something social.
We have a membership of approximately 40 seniors and 20 juniors. Most of the members live within the Bacchus Marsh and Melton region; with a few coming from other districts.
Our Club Constitution was a pre-requisite for incorporation and is avaiable from the Secretary. It contains the rules governing the club, and forms the procedural basis which the club must be run.
Committee/ Club meetings are held each month to decide on matters including angling venues, prizes, fundraisers and other general business related to the club. This is held at the Willows; and all are welcome to join.
We also have social gatherings during the year. Members of the club go along to events including Greyhound Night at Tabcorp Park, Ladies Day Shopping Tours, Annual Yarrawonga Fishing Trip, Christmas Barbeque and many more. This is a great way to get together and know people outside the norms of monthly fishing competitions.
It doesn't matter if you are a beginner, intermediate or professional at fishing; everyone is welcome to give it a shot. Some members have started in nappies; and are still fishing today!
